Grazie Mauri

first starter: Squid Salad 4.5/5 yummers score (me BIG salads FAN)

second starter: Beef Carpaccio 4/5 yummers score

first main course: Mixed Seafood Spaghetti 4.8/5 yummers score

second main course: Chicken & Pineapple Pizza 3.9/5 yummers score-bit bland :(

Desert: Strawberry Ice Cream with assorted sliced fruits 3.5/5 *meh...

obviously refurbished as i remember Sushi Tei had a really claustrophobic & stale feel...atmosphere score 4/5 didn't like that the loo was upstairs & climbing up those stairs with a heavy full stomach was daunting...

the new Grazie Mauri @the former Sushi Tei in Gadong (opposite Pizza Hutt Gadong)...$20 'all you can eat' Ramadhan menu...pretty good value for money as i said...as long as you finish all the food on your plate you can order whatever is on the menu-we even had a serving of Fresh Fish Fillet served with lemon butter sauce but that was a bit salty so 3/5 yummers score for the fish.

the promotion goes on until Raya me thinks...anyways if you wanna try out the many Sungkai (breaking of fast) promotions going on at the moment...give this a try simply for the great money for value.

I'm not a food blogger nor do i want to claim to be one but i LOVE yummy food so for a more 'professional' local look at Grazie Mauri click here.

And a shout out to Amy...thanks for the photoshop actions :p

ps:all shots using flash off night mode on my Nokia E63...cos i don't carry my Cybershot everywhere ok?

...her name is Mini...*cough cough...

found this in an old Taiwan car magazine i bought some time ago...& I'm not really that into cars LoL...they say sharing is caring so I'm showing you guys (and gals) love by sharing these scans of this sweet piece of ass...the profile on the mag reads her name as Mini...trust me...@32c those puppies are far from 'mini'...
anyways i think I'll review this on my next post...still feeling lethargic even after a whole week off after a major work project, coincidentally there's a bit of buzz online about some deleted scenes for the bluray release of the original StarWars trilogy soon...one scene called the 'missing lightsabre scene' in ROTJ...
click the above screen grab of the scene to watch the clip, you can actually hear super-nerds having a massive nerd-gasm watching it..so funny...notebook batt flat soon so I'll catch you soon...enjoy Mini :p

Sorry but Clone Wars the cartoon series really doesn't do it for me...busy couple of work weeks ahead so I'll catch you guys later.

1 night in Bangkok...

Wednesday 19th May 2010my first ever trip to Bangkok...well stop over really on way back from my Munich work trip...and of all days...its the height of the red shirt riots...its REAL when you see armed soldiers at road blocks and diversions everywhere...so we had to use a lot of the back roads to get to our hotel.
another armed soldier with a 12-gauge shotgun...
the Landmark hotel in Bangkok...along Sukhumvit Road...just across Nana mrt station..ok after checking in around mid afternoon...lets go explore whatever we can near by on foot...cos of the riots most or all of the big malls/shopping centres are closed...
was such a hot humid afternoon...this ice cold beer was heaven...and of course...when in Thailand drink Thai beer!!! we stopped at this charming little restaurant for a late afternoon lunch...
Thai style kwey tiow...not bad...
yup that's right...just outside where we had our late lunch...i would not dare to try out such 'things' but its quite a sight...even the po po on patrol were checking it out...hell yeah-you know your no longer in Brunei when you see street vendors selling fake Viagra on the streets..and next to it is a pirated DVD stall selling normal and gay porn in broad daylight...welcome to the real world.
accompany the boss to a small tailor to alter his suits...just opposite this small grocery shop...apparently most of the expatriates come here to buy their daily goods...
Bangkok city skyline view from my 18th floor hotel room...well curfew is 9pm later so can't do much and like i said most places are closed...so after a nice Thai massage nearby we could only have dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel...the hotel staff start to fence up the entrances etc...it looked like they were getting ready for a war...spooky.
so dinner is over...curfew just started...but damn bored...so headed to the bar for drinks...hell its either this or go back to room...
my first ever Mexican Mojito...not bad...we (me,my boss and his Thai lady friend) had a whole bottle of Johnny Walker red label...i didn't believe we could finish the whole bottle but we did...
spooky...first time such a big city like Bangkok is deserted...at just 930pm...
hell yeah...the so called mini bar items in my room...one could really get sloshed this way...no need bar or pub...
well the next day we decided to leave early cos nothing to do in Bangkok...so before going to the airport i decided to go for a morning walk in downtown Bangkok...
some army general on TV again giving updates on the crackdown...
spotted this on the way to the airport....

anyways that's it for my first time ever in Bangkok...what a weird experience but i want to come back again to see and feel the city again...please do pardon as i could only use my cellphone to take these pictures...its a public holiday today as our beloved Sultan celebrates his 64th birthday...I'll be back soon cos I'm just gonna chill and relax for the day..have a good one y'all..and yes no toy haul on this trip -_-
