DML F/A-18 Hornet Fighter Pilot during Operation Enduring Freedom
Before HotToys-it was Dragon that pioneered & ruled the 1/6 hobby scene and to me DML is STILL one of the best 1/6 scale producer. Unfortunately they have stopped doing modern military themes and now concentrates mainly on WWII German or American military themes. In its heyday DML was tops and hopefully this COMPLETELY DML kit-bash post will show you why.

HOT TOYS US ARMY RANGER 75th REGIMENT with SCAR-L
i think its the right time to expose and pictorial 'review' one of my major full figure box set acquisitions of this year..bought this during my work trip to Sg in May-yes that's right I've not done a post about it here since getting it,just don't wanna follow the trend of racing to post something fresh off the oven. Its a shame to realize HotToys are now doing more on movie characters then military figures which put them on the map, this Ranger could well be one of their last military figures for a while to come.
So? here we go..lets start with the box.

Actor Patrick Swayze dies after cancer battle
Point Break (1991) WAS undoubtedly my favorite Swayze movie followed closely by Ghost which was the 1st movie which made me cry like a pussy in a cinema.

HotToys 1/6 John Connor (Final Battle Version) Figure MMS 111 from Terminator Salvation
HK416 rifle
as regular visitors to my blog probably know i usually don't do such postings like this but...
fuck..is the first word that came out of my mouth when i spotted this online..and the 2nd thought was 'has anybody else seen this?' due to tight budget i had skipped on the now previous HT John Connor figure during my August Sg trip even-though one shop was selling it for just S$230.
But now? Especially as it comes with the HK416 rifle with tactical red dot sight which was previously not available from HT and a Hydro-bot also from the movie. Damn this HotToys...just when you thought they can't top it anymore they raise the bar with their amazing quality.
well the pictures speaks for themselves,i must credit this site (with a few more pics) which i spotted it on and also its already available on HT's website if you wanna see the figure descriptions.
i really like Christian Bale now (always have since Empire of the Sun) and i LOVED this movie so HT made a great move to suck me out of my hard earn money, hopefully it'll retail for less then B$250 then i would REALLY consider getting it...*hint hint Eric? he he..
Damn.
oh well something different before i carry on with my Sg toy shops series of post soon.

Anyways..I'll post my trip pics soon but for now I gotta recharge before going back to reality/work tomorrow, cheers!

my Hot Toys 1/6 FN SCAR MK16
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The SOF Combat Assault Rifle or SCAR, is a modular rifle made by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FNH) for the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to satisfy the requirements of the SCAR competition. This family of rifles consist of two main types. The SCAR-L, for light, is chambered in the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge and the SCAR-H, for heavy, fires 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition. Both are available in Long Barrel and Close Quarters Combat variants. The FN SCAR system completed low rate initial production testing in June 2007.[2] After some delays, the first rifles began being issued to operational units in April 2009, and a battalion of the US 75th Rangers will be the first large unit deployed into combat with 600 of the rifles in 2009.
